FAA Requirements for Infrared Lighting (IR)

The FAA is mandating that all structures with obstruction lighting must have their lighting upgraded to infrared (IR). As existing lights experience failures and certifications expire, they will need to be replaced with upgraded IR lighting. New structures will have certain specifications as well.

Unimar is lighting the way for FAA compliant obstruction lights and systems.

  • Do your lights need a replacement now, or in 2-3 years?
  • Can you buy non-IR replacement lighting as a stop-gap measure before regulations apply to you?

Let's Talk

Unimar Has the Right Light & Lighting System for Your Structure & Specifications

If a light has gone out, Unimar has the FAA compliant IR replacement lights and lighting systems you need.

As of May 2020, the FAA has de-certified 71 products. As these certifications expire, you'll need a compliant IR replacement.

Unimar has the IR lighting you need.

Can't afford an entire lighting system? Unimar has non-IR products for organizations that urgently need replacement lighting who don't need to meet these IR requirements for another 2 to 3 years.

Unimar also provides leasing options for lighting.
